American Idol star Jordin Sparks visited our offices yesterday and I got a chance to meet her and get a photo of her.
Isabel had her final riding lesson at Wildflowers farm. We’ve been going their for 4 years. Her instructor is leaving to run a hunt club. Here Isabel is cantering with Twell–note that she is looking into the turn and has her heals down!
And here is Isabel (on left) with her instructor Brooke and her might steed Twell

My blog is worth $72,825.66.

We got over 3 inches of rain from this storm over the weekend and I took some photos from our neighborhood.
This first photo is of a van coming down Cranbury Road by Grovers Mill Pond. The pond is over-flowing into the near-by streets.
A backyard behind Grovers Mill Pond is flooded out from all the rain.
The flood waters churn past the historic Grovers Mill in West Windsor Township NJ.
The monument to the War of the Worlds radio show, located next to the famous Grovers Mill Pond, stands surrounded by flood waters.
I had a nice afternoon at Rutgers Gardens shooting an engagement photo of Sara and Josh
I had a great St Patrick’s day wedding with Kathleen and Bret.
This year’s wedding season started in March with Jackie and Tom’s wedding in Red Bank
We went shopping in Freehold today for a Prom dress for Emma. Her junior prom is in April. We were in a huge bridal dress shop and I restrained myself from pitching brides on my photography.
It has been so cold that we got our dog Iris a nice warm sweater from Orvis that she is showing off in my office.
One of my old newspaper buddies from CA, Jo Steck was in town this weekend. Jo now works as Deputy Director of Photography at the White House.
She was intown for a hockey game for her son Eddie. Below is a photo of Eddie and Isabel. We last saw Eddie 7 years ago when we moved to New Jersey. During that visit Isabel taught Eddie how to climb out of his crib.
I went back to photograph this Danish Lutheran Church in Central Nebraska this month. I had been to this church many times growing up on Luther League retreats (including one memorable night where all we listened to was Stairway to Heaven all night). Here is the photo that I shot (in Kodachrome) in 1980.
I have more photos of the interior of the church posted at http://www.jaybryant.com/stjohnschurch
I stayed with relatives over the holiday near Lodi CA
Isabel got to sit in the pilot’s seat during our stop-over in Los Angeles
Isabel on the campus of UC Davis. She wants to become an “Aggie” and study equine science at UCD.
