Reflection on past Memorial Day weekends..
My Peony flowers are in full bloom just in time for Memorial Day weekend. When I was growing up Memorial Day weekend was a prescribed ritual of gathering Peonies from my Grandfathers yard and heading to the cemetery to decorate the grave sites of relatives.
